The scenic single-loop course starts and ends in Town Hall Square and runs through residential neighborhoods and along the Vineyard Sound shore. It is mostly flat. While the course is open to traffic, traffic is light.
The course is bicycle-measured according to USATF and IAAF standards, and the actual distance is 4.9167 miles.
The Aeronautic Division of PCB Race Management, the previous organizers of Liam’s, produced a feature video of the course, complete with appropriate Irish music. View the video.
Policy on Baby Strollers, Skateboards, Rollerblades, Bicycles, etc.: Our insurance regulations do not permit their use in the race. Our first priority is for the safety of all participants. With a large number of runners and the fact that the course is open to vehicular traffic, the potential is created for safety issues. We hope all participants understand and respect our position and will make appropriate arrangements to comply.
